Hockey heats up in both hemispheres

It's time for hockey season! The NHL playoffs are about to start. I may have won our fantasy hockey league (thanks to Vincent Lecavalier, Martin St. Louis and Sidney Crosby I'd say), but I can't tip hockey games for squat. Here's what will become the evidence:

Western Conference Quarter Finals:
Detroit Red Wings vs. Calgary Flames, 2-4
Anaheim Ducks vs. Minnesota Wild, 4-2
Vancouver Canucks vs. Dallas Stars, 4-3
Nashville Predators vs. San Jose Sharks, 2-4

Eastern Conference Quarter Finals:
Buffalo Sabres vs. New York Islanders, 4-0
New Jersey Devils vs. Tampa Bay Lighting, 4-2
Atlanta Thrashers vs. New York Rangers, 4-1
Ottawa Senators vs. Pittsburgh Penguins, 4-3

In the other hemisphere (the good one), there's Melbourne ICE and the AIHL starting this Saturday. I'll miss going to the game, but most worthily, in order to see Dylan Moran for the Comedy Festival. Mind you, I'll probably end up tuning in to 1611AM to listen to live coverage (fuck yeah!) if I can find it on the radio dial, at least for a bit in the arvo.
