Cricket on 3 totally pays off

Friday, November 24, 2006

Just a quick word to anyone on 3 who at least modestly likes cricket (or hangs out with people who do) - get the Bumper Pack. It's quite cool having it on underneath my monitor at work, calling out the wickets before they filter through to the others in the office watching CricInfo.

Anyone desperate for something else to watch can see a few little videos of mine over at YouTube. Personally, I recommend putting the cricket on instead.

I used to LOVE 3's live coverage for when I was walking to/from work. Now it'll come in handy on the train ride to/from work, my lunch break from work, even while I am working. One of the coolest things ever to be released on 3G phones, and it's damn cheap too considering what you get.

I wonder, if I watched it on the train would I get huddles of people crowding around over my shoulder trying to watch? That'd be cool

Indubitably! If you've ever read a paper on a train, you'll notice those guys opposite who try and read too. After all, I'm one of them...

People at work will probably be interested too. I had about 6 people watching at one stage on Friday!

Have you seen some of the people who catch trains these days? I'd find it qiute disturbing if people were over my shoulder watching my phone

Yeah, but cricket fans are all right.

I think the disturbing-looking ones are attracted to you because you look like one of their own!

Haha "Ass Parade"... gold, Jerry!

I watched some of the 1987 Ashes highlights on my phone while I was on the Nightrider last weekend, and had three dudes crowding around behind me watching it. Unfortunately my battery ran out after like 30 minutes, which was lame... but the cricket was definitely a winner.
